What is Cryonics ?
- a field of scientific research that attempts to use technology to cool living tissues, organs, and whole organisms to prevent decay and aims to restore them to full function with future technology.(1)
- a process that cools legally dead individuals in liquid nitrogen to a temperature where physical decay essentially stops with the purpose to revive and restore youth and health with technology that does not yet exist. (2)
- Human beings and other mammals’ body temperature is maintained with little variance. In all species, a decrease in body temperature reduces vital activities; freezing essentially suspends all life processes. (3)
